Privacy Policy
Version of 9 October 2026. This policy applies to mvisionpro.com, including the engineering tools at mvisionpro.com/tools/.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
These websites are operated by MVisionPro, a supplier of Hikrobot machine vision equipment: industrial cameras, code readers, smart cameras, lenses, lighting and related software and services.
For any question about your personal data, or to exercise your rights, write to rea@mvisionpro.com.
2. What data we collect
Data you give us. When you send an enquiry through a form, a messenger or email, we receive what you enter: your contact details — a phone number (required in most forms) or, in the engineering tools, a phone number or an email address — and optionally your name, company, email address, a description of your task, product models or part numbers you are interested in, answers to a short questionnaire, and whether you prefer a call or a messenger reply. In the engineering tools, we also receive the equipment selection and calculation parameters that you send with an enquiry. If you report a problem with a tool, we receive your message, your email address if you give it, the page address and the state of the tool at that moment; our server adds your browser details and a hashed form of your IP address.
Required fields. We need a way to contact you to answer an enquiry: without a phone number (or, in the engineering tools, a phone number or an email address) we cannot reply. All other fields are optional.
Phone calls. If we speak by phone — for example, when you ask us to call you back — the call may be recorded. The recording is converted into text by an automatic speech recognition service, and our staff use the text to keep an accurate record of your task and of what was agreed.
Data collected automatically. When you use the websites, our servers and analytics record your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you visit, the page you came from, the date and time, advertising and campaign tags in the link (for example, UTM parameters and ad click identifiers), and a pseudonymous visitor and session identifier. We record technical events such as “form opened”, “form started” or “form sent”; the values you type into form fields are not included in these events. We use your IP address to determine the country an enquiry was sent from; only the country is stored with the enquiry.
Data kept in your browser. When you press “send”, a copy of your enquiry, including your contact details, is kept in your browser’s local storage for up to 14 days, so that it can be sent again automatically if your connection fails; it is deleted as soon as we confirm delivery. A form you have started but not sent is kept in the tab’s session storage until you close the tab. The pseudonymous visitor identifier stays in local storage until you clear your browser data. In the engineering tools, your current equipment selection is kept in your browser for 24 hours; if a calculation cannot be attached to an enquiry because of a technical failure, a backup copy is kept in your browser for up to 14 days. When you share a link to a calculation, the equipment selection is encoded in the link itself, so anyone who receives the link can see it.
3. Why we use your data and on what basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| To answer your enquiry, select equipment, prepare a quotation, and supply and support the products you order | Steps you asked us to take before a contract, and performance of the contract |
| To keep an accurate record of phone conversations about your task | Our legitimate interest in handling your request accurately |
| To keep the websites working and secure, including protection against spam and abuse, and to make sure that no enquiry is lost | Our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure service |
| To measure how the websites and our advertising work and to improve them | Our legitimate interest in understanding how the websites and our advertising work; you can object at any time (see section 4) |
| To keep records required by law, for example accounting documents for orders | Legal obligations |
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for purposes that are unrelated to the ones above. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
4. Analytics and cookies
The websites use a third-party web analytics service that places cookies and similar technologies in your browser (for up to one year) and may record how you interact with pages — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — to help us understand how the websites are used. The content you type into form fields is masked and not recorded. Our advertising platforms may receive an ad click identifier when you arrive from an advertisement.
When you first visit, a short notice at the bottom of the page tells you that by using the website you agree to this policy. You can decline analytics and advertising cookies at any time with the “Decline” button at the end of this policy on the website: after that, the analytics service and advertising tags are no longer loaded. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. In both cases the websites keep working.
5. Who receives your data
Your enquiry is handled by our sales and engineering staff. To run the websites and handle enquiries we use service providers who process data on our behalf and only for these purposes:
- website hosting — servers located in Malaysia;
- our own email server, which keeps email data with a cloud storage provider;
- our customer relationship management system, which we operate ourselves;
- a messaging service that we use to notify our staff about new enquiries (the notification contains your contact details and your request);
- automatic speech recognition and text processing services that convert call recordings into text, summarise them and help our staff prepare quotations;
- the web analytics service and advertising platforms described in section 4.
If you contact us via WhatsApp or Telegram, your messages are also processed by that messenger under its own privacy policy. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Our servers and some of our service providers are located in countries other than yours. Where the law of your country requires additional safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the data protection terms offered by these providers. You can ask us for more information at rea@mvisionpro.com.
7. How long we keep your data
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not lead to an order | 3 years from the last contact |
| Correspondence, quotations and documents related to orders | 5 years after the order is completed, or longer if the law requires |
| Call recordings | 30 days |
| Text and summaries of calls | 1 year |
| Website server logs and analytics events | 12 months |
| Data kept in your browser | see section 2 |
After these periods we delete or anonymise the data. Backup copies are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
8. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask us to confirm whether we process your data and to give you a copy, to correct inaccurate data, to delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to rea@mvisionpro.com; we answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
9. How we protect your data
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to personal data to staff who need it, protect stored files with access permissions and keep encrypted backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to fix problems promptly.
10. Google API services
We use Google APIs only to manage our own advertising accounts and to monitor and manage how our own websites appear in Google Search. We do not use Google APIs to access any data in your Google account, and the websites do not offer sign-in with Google.
11. Children
Our websites are intended for business customers and are not directed at children under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We will publish any changes on this page and update the version date at the top.
