Large-format mono USB positioning

Mono output from a 5472 × 3648 Sony IMX183 gives MV-CE200-10UM a larger USB3.0 image than the 4000 × 3036 MV-CE120-10UM V2.0 and 3072 × 2048 MV-CE060-10UC. The 1-inch CMOS sensor uses a rolling shutter and runs at up to 19.2 fps. This pairing is intended for high-detail intensity imaging of stationary or indexed subjects.

Large-field dimensional work, dense component checks and fine edge analysis can use the full mono array after motion has settled. USB3.0 provides the image connection and can also supply power, with 12 VDC available as a separate route. The C-mount must be paired with optics covering the 1-inch sensor, and the camera consumes 2.83 W.

MV-CE200-10GM retains the Sony IMX183, 1-inch format, 5472 × 3648 resolution and rolling shutter but changes to Gigabit Ethernet, PoE and 5.9 fps. MV-CE120-10UM V2.0 is another mono USB3.0 model, trading resolution down to 4000 × 3036 for a 31.9 fps ceiling. MV-CE120-10GM provides 4024 × 3036 at 9.6 fps over Gigabit Ethernet when network reach is required.

Selection and applications

Large-field mono dimensional analysis. Dense component checks at 5472 × 3648. High-detail USB3.0 edge imaging.

Minimum kit: Start with the MV-CE200-10UM, a C-mount lens, a USB3.0 cable, and either USB3.0 bus power or a 12 VDC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CE200-10GM — Prefer it for 5472 × 3648 imaging over Gigabit Ethernet with PoE at 5.9 fps; MV-CE120-10UM V2.0 — Prefer it for 4000 × 3036 mono USB3.0 imaging at 31.9 fps; MV-CE120-10GM — Prefer it for 4024 × 3036 Gigabit Ethernet acquisition at 9.6 fps.

FAQ

What type of inspection benefits from 5472 × 3648 mono images?

The large mono array preserves intensity detail across 5472 × 3648 samples. It suits dimensional analysis, edge location and dense component checks over a broad field when the rolling-shutter subject can remain still during capture.

Which C-mount lens coverage is required for this sensor?

The Sony IMX183 has a 1-inch optical format and the camera uses C-mount. Select a C-mount lens that covers a 1-inch sensor and has resolving performance appropriate to the 5472 × 3648 image.

How can MV-CE200-10UM be powered in a USB station?

The camera supports power through USB3.0 as well as a separate 12 VDC supply. Its stated consumption is 2.83 W, so a USB-powered installation can combine the image and supply paths in one host connection.

What environmental constraints are stated for operation?

The enclosure is rated IP30 and the maximum working temperature is 50 °C. Humidity is specified from 20% RH to 80% RH without condensation, and the camera body weight is 100 g.

When should the Gigabit Ethernet IMX183 model be considered?

MV-CE200-10GM keeps the 1-inch Sony IMX183, rolling shutter and 5472 × 3648 array, but uses Gigabit Ethernet with PoE and a 100 m transmission distance at 5.9 fps. MV-CE200-10UM instead reaches 19.2 fps over USB3.0.
