Large-format detail and controlled-motion use

A 101.8 MP monochrome image from a 55 mm Sony IMX461 sensor defines MV-CH1010-10CM-M72-TF. The 11648 × 8740 rolling-shutter CMOS array uses 3.76 µm pixels and sends Mono 8 data at 8.1 fps through Camera Link with an SDR interface. It is intended for very large, detailed views where the object can remain stationary or move in a controlled manner during exposure.

The 14 µs to 10 sec exposure range covers brief and extended integration, but rolling-shutter timing makes motion control important for geometric measurement. An M72 × 0.75 mount accommodates the 55 mm optical format. TEC cooling is integrated; typical draw is 14 W at 24 V DC without TEC cooling and 48 W at 24 V DC with TEC cooling.

MV-CH1030-90TM-M58S-NN provides 103.6 MP at 11264 × 9200 with a global shutter, 11 fps and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. MV-CH1030-90YM-M58S-NN keeps that global-shutter resolution but reaches 24.3 fps over CoaXPress. Select MV-CH1010-10CM-M72-TF when the 11648 × 8740 IMX461 image, 55 mm format and Camera Link path take precedence over global-shutter speed.

Selection and applications

Very-high-resolution inspection of stationary objects. Large-area monochrome feature measurement. TEC-cooled capture of detailed surfaces.

Minimum kit: MV-CH1010-10CM-M72-TF, a 55 mm-format M72 × 0.75 lens, an SDR Camera Link cable, and a 24 V DC supply form the minimum imaging set.

Nearby in the range: MV-CH1030-90TM-M58S-NN — Choose it for 11264 × 9200 global-shutter imaging at 11 fps over 10 Gigabit Ethernet; MV-CH1030-90YM-M58S-NN — Choose it for 11264 × 9200 global-shutter imaging at 24.3 fps over CoaXPress.

FAQ

What motion conditions suit the rolling-shutter IMX461 sensor?

The sensor uses a rolling shutter, so different rows are exposed at different times. Stationary targets or controlled motion are appropriate when the 11648 × 8740 image is used for geometry-sensitive inspection.

What optical mount and sensor coverage are required?

The camera has an M72 × 0.75 lens mount and a 55 mm sensor format. Optics must cover that large image area and resolve 3.76 µm pixels across the 11648 × 8740 monochrome frame.

How does TEC operation change the electrical load?

At 24 V DC, typical consumption is 14 W when the TEC is not cooling and 48 W while TEC cooling is active. The power source and thermal layout should therefore be sized for the cooling operating state.

What data connection carries each 101.8 MP monochrome image?

The camera uses Camera Link with an SDR interface and produces up to 8.1 fps at 11648 × 8740 in Mono 8. The cable and receiving Camera Link path must support that large-format stream.

What mechanical and environmental provisions are needed?

The body measures 100 mm × 100 mm × 87.2 mm and weighs approximately 1.7 kg. It operates from 0 °C to 50 °C and is rated IP40 with the lens and wiring installed correctly.
