Applications and positioning

Color detail at 4096 × 3000 is delivered by the Sony IMX545, a 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor with 2.74 µm pixels and a global shutter. MV-CH123-10GC transfers Bayer RG 8 frames at 9.5 fps over Gigabit Ethernet. Its combination of 12.3 MP imaging, color response and exposure settings down to the 1 µs UltraShort mode suits inspections that must distinguish both fine structure and color while preserving the shape of a moving subject.

The camera fits paced inspection of printed features, colored components and surface marks where a full frame is required for every trigger. A 6-pin P7 connection exposes an opto-isolated input, an opto-isolated output and one bidirectional I/O line for coordinating the exposure and illumination. PoE can carry power with Ethernet, while the separate supply range is 9 V DC to 24 V DC. The 29 mm × 29 mm body face and C-mount support a compact imaging head.

Within the lineup, MV-CH123-10GM keeps the Sony IMX545, 4096 × 3000 frame and 9.5 fps GigE link but records Mono 8 instead of color. MV-CH123-10UM is also monochrome and raises full-frame speed to 31.5 fps through USB 3.0 in a 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm body. Choose MV-CH123-10GC when Bayer color over GigE is required; choose the GM for monochrome networked inspection or the UM when a faster monochrome USB stream is the deciding constraint.

Selection and applications

Triggered inspection of moving colored parts. Fine-feature checks across a 4096 × 3000 image area. Networked color capture with PoE.

Minimum setup: MV-CH123-10GC, a C-mount lens, a Gigabit Ethernet cable, and either PoE or a 9 V DC to 24 V DC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CH123-10GM — Prefer it for Mono 8 capture at the same 4096 × 3000 and 9.5 fps; MV-CH123-10UM — Prefer it for monochrome USB 3.0 capture at 31.5 fps.

FAQ

How does the MV-CH123-10GC capture moving color features without skew?

Its Sony IMX545 is a global-shutter CMOS sensor, so the 4096 × 3000 image is exposed as one frame rather than scanned by a rolling shutter. The exposure controls include a 1 µs to 2 µs UltraShort mode and a 3 µs to 10 sec standard range for matching illumination and motion.

What network and power connections are needed for MV-CH123-10GC?

Image data uses Gigabit Ethernet at 1000 Mbit/s, with Fast Ethernet at 100 Mbit/s also supported. The camera accepts 9 V DC to 24 V DC and supports PoE, so a PoE installation can combine data and power on the Ethernet connection. Typical draw is 2.5 W at 12 V DC.

Which lens mount and sensor coverage apply to MV-CH123-10GC?

The mechanical interface is C-mount and the sensor format is 1/1.1 inch. Lens selection therefore has to cover that format while resolving the 2.74 µm pixel pitch across 4096 × 3000. The optical assembly sits on a 29 mm × 29 mm camera face.

Can MV-CH123-10GC be triggered directly from a machine sensor?

The 6-pin P7 connector provides one opto-isolated input on Line 0, one opto-isolated output on Line 1 and one bidirectional non-isolated line on Line 2. Those lines allow a trigger source and an output event to be wired separately from the Gigabit Ethernet image path.

What installation environment is stated for the MV-CH123-10GC housing?

The working range is –10 °C to 50 °C with 20% RH to 95% RH and no condensation. Ingress protection is IP40 when the lens and wiring are installed correctly. The enclosure measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm and the camera weighs 101.6 g.
