USB imaging for broad color scenes

A 4096-pixel-wide color frame at 32 fps is the key selection point for MV-CH089-10UC. The USB 3.0 camera is built around a 1-inch Sony IMX267 global-shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 µm pixels. Its 4096 × 2160 Bayer GR 8 output addresses detailed inspection of broad colored parts or several features arranged across one image.

Global exposure prevents row-dependent geometry changes on moving targets. UltraShort mode spans 1 µs to 14 µs, with standard exposure from 15 µs to 10 sec, giving control for both motion and static scenes. USB 3.0 supports camera power at a typical 3.27 W from 5 V DC, and a separate 12 V DC input is also available.

MV-CH089-10GC uses the same IMX267 and image size but runs at 13 fps over Gigabit Ethernet with PoE. MV-CH089-60GC V5.0 changes to Stacked BSI and provides 13.9 fps over Gigabit Ethernet. MV-CH100-60UC reaches 36 fps over USB 3.0 with a taller 4096 × 2460 frame. Pick MV-CH089-10UC for the 4096 × 2160 IMX267 image at 32 fps over USB.

Selection and applications

Wide-frame color inspection over USB. Short-exposure capture of broad moving parts. Detailed checks of colored component rows.

Minimum kit: MV-CH089-10UC, a 1-inch C-mount lens, a USB 3.0 cable, and either USB 3.0 bus power or a 12 V DC supply form the minimum imaging set.

Nearby in the range: MV-CH089-10GC — Prefer it for the same 4096 × 2160 IMX267 color frame over Gigabit Ethernet with PoE; MV-CH089-60GC V5.0 — Prefer it for a Stacked BSI color sensor and Gigabit Ethernet at 13.9 fps; MV-CH100-60UC — Prefer it for a taller 4096 × 2460 color frame at 36 fps over USB 3.0.

FAQ

What full-size color stream is specified for MV-CH089-10UC?

The camera outputs 4096 × 2160 Bayer GR 8 at up to 32 fps. Transfer uses USB 3.0, which is also listed as compatible with USB 2.0, while the stated maximum rate corresponds to the USB 3.0 path.

Can USB 3.0 provide all operating power to the camera?

Yes. USB 3.0 power is supported, with typical consumption of 3.27 W at 5 V DC. The camera also accepts a separate 12 V DC input when machine power and I/O are wired independently.

What lens format covers the one-inch IMX267 sensor?

Use a C-mount lens whose image circle covers the 1-inch sensor. It should resolve the 3.45 µm pitch across the 4096 × 2160 color image and provide the required scene width at the chosen working distance.

Which exposure mode is used for very short integration?

UltraShort mode covers 1 µs to 14 µs; standard mode begins at 15 µs and extends to 10 sec. The global shutter exposes the full image together, supporting short capture of moving objects without row skew.

What operating limits should be allowed around the camera body?

The working range is 0 °C to 50 °C at 20% to 80% RH without condensation. IP30 applies after correct lens and wiring installation, so the mounting location must provide any additional environmental barrier needed.
