Four-row 8K mono with Camera Link

An 8192 × 4 mono CMOS array with 5 µm pixels gives MV-CL084-91CM both long cross-object sampling and three row-mode choices. It supports 1-line, 2-TDI and 4-TDI acquisition. Camera Link rates are 20 kHz in Base, 40 kHz in Medium, 80 kHz in Full and 100 kHz in 80-bit operation, with an SDR connector used for data and USB used for firmware updates.

The four-row architecture suits wide mono surface inspection where illumination and travel speed can be addressed through the selected TDI mode. Exposure spans 3 µs to 10 ms and six gain settings run from 1.2× to 6.2×. A 12-pin P10 connector supplies power and four configurable I/O lines, while Camera Link CC1/CC2/CC3/CC4 can also participate in acquisition timing.

MV-CL082-92CM reduces the array to 8192 × 2 with 7 µm pixels and 2-TDI, while retaining the same 100 kHz 80-bit ceiling in a smaller 76 mm body. MV-CL084-91CM-PRO expands to 8192 × 16 and adds control for as many as 4 lamps, with a 75 kHz 1-lamp Full rate. MV-CL084-91F2M keeps 8192 × 4 but uses 7 µm pixels and 2LC fiber, reaching 200 kHz in 1-Line, 1-light mode.

Selection and applications

8K four-row mono inspection. Camera Link 4-TDI scanning. Wide-surface capture at 100 kHz.

Minimum kit: Pair the MV-CL084-91CM camera with an M72*0.75 line-scan lens or adapted F-mount lens, a Camera Link cable and frame grabber, and a 12 V DC to 24 V DC supply on the 12-pin P10 connector.

Nearby in the range: MV-CL082-92CM — Prefer it for an 8192 × 2 sensor in a 76 mm Camera Link body; MV-CL084-91CM-PRO — Prefer it for an 8192 × 16 array with multi-lamp control; MV-CL084-91F2M — Prefer it for 8192 × 4 mono capture at 200 kHz over 2LC fiber.

FAQ

Which row modes are supported by the MV-CL084-91CM array?

The 8192 × 4 mono sensor supports 1-line, 2-TDI and 4-TDI modes. Its 5 µm pixels can be read at up to 20 kHz in Base, 40 kHz in Medium, 80 kHz in Full and 100 kHz in 80-bit Camera Link operation.

What gain and exposure controls are available on MV-CL084-91CM?

Exposure is adjustable from 3 µs to 10 ms. Listed gain selections are 1.2×, 2.7×, 3.0×, 3.5×, 4.6× and 6.2×, providing discrete settings for matching the mono sensor response to the illumination arrangement.

How should a lens be mounted on the MV-CL084-91CM?

MV-CL084-91CM has an M72*0.75 interface and a 12 mm flange back length. F-mount lenses can be fitted via an adapter. The optic must cover the full 8192-pixel line and resolve the 5 µm pixel pitch.

What are the MV-CL084-91CM power and I/O provisions?

Provide 12 V DC to 24 V DC through the 12-pin P10 connector and allow for 9.7 W typical consumption at 12 V DC. Four configurable single-ended or differential I/O lines are available, together with Camera Link CC1/CC2/CC3/CC4.

How does MV-CL084-91CM differ from MV-CL084-91CM-PRO?

The standard model uses an 8192 × 4 mono array, reaches 100 kHz in 80-bit mode and draws 9.7 W typically. The PRO version uses 8192 × 16, adds multi-lamp control, takes 24 V DC and draws 22.9 W typically.
