Compact mono inspection at the widest frame

Mono 8 output at 1920 × 1200 gives MV-CS023-10UM the widest intensity image among these CS Series cameras. Its Sony® IMX249 1/1.2-inch CMOS sensor combines 5.86 µm pixels, a global shutter and a 41 fps ceiling. USB 3.0 transfers the 2.3 MP frames from a 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm enclosure. The model emphasizes spatial coverage and mono geometry within a compact host-connected camera head.

It can inspect assembly outlines, edge position, presence and several intensity-defined regions within one broad view. Global exposure holds moving shapes together, while the 15 µs to 10 sec range permits short production captures and longer stationary acquisitions. USB supplies 5 V DC power at typical consumption of 1.5 W, and the P7 port offers a separate 9–24 V DC route plus isolated input, isolated output and bidirectional I/O.

MV-CS023-10UC keeps the same 1920 × 1200, IMX249, 41 fps and USB body but outputs Bayer RG 8 color. MV-CS023-10GM retains the paired resolution and rate over Gigabit Ethernet with PoE in a 42 mm-deep housing. MV-CS020-61UM V5.0 reduces resolution to 1624 × 1240 but increases the USB rate to 99.6 fps and adds high-full-well and high-sensitivity modes. Choose MV-CS023-10UM for the largest mono frame when 41 fps covers the machine cycle.

Selection and applications

Wide Mono 8 inspection at 2.3 MP. Global-shutter edge capture at 41 fps. Compact USB acquisition with IMX249.

Minimum kit: MV-CS023-10UM, a C-mount lens for the 1/1.2-inch sensor, and a USB 3.0 cable supplying 5 V DC power, or a separate 9–24 V DC source.

Nearby in the range: MV-CS023-10UC — Prefer it for Bayer RG 8 color at the same 41 fps and resolution.; MV-CS023-10GM — Prefer it for 1920 × 1200 capture over Gigabit Ethernet with PoE.; MV-CS020-61UM V5.0 — Prefer it for 99.6 fps Mono 8 with two Stacked BSI operating modes..

FAQ

What kind of inspection uses the 1920 × 1200 Mono 8 frame?

The wide mono frame supports intensity-based work across a broad view, including multiple edges, assembly outline and presence regions. The IMX249 provides 2.3 MP at 41 fps with a global shutter.

What are the USB power and separate supply options?

USB 3.0 can provide 5 V DC camera power, with typical consumption of 1.5 W. The 6-pin P7 connector also supports a 9–24 V DC supply and carries the three external I/O lines.

How short is the available global-shutter exposure?

Exposure begins at 15 µs and extends to 10 sec. Since the Sony® IMX249 uses a global shutter, the whole 1920 × 1200 frame shares the exposure interval, preserving moving-object geometry.

What changes when the UC color counterpart is selected?

MV-CS023-10UC retains the IMX249, 1/1.2-inch format, 5.86 µm pixels, 1920 × 1200, 41 fps and USB 3.0. It changes the image from Mono 8 to Bayer RG 8 color and has typical use of 1.6 W instead of 1.5 W.

Which lens and environmental conditions fit this model?

Use a C-mount lens covering the 1/1.2-inch sensor. The 30 mm-deep body is IP40 with correct lens installation and wiring, and operates from –30 °C to 60 °C.
