Two-mode mono inspection tasks

Two sensor operating modes extend the 5 MP mono role of MV-CS050-60GM V5.0. A 2/3-inch Stacked BSI global-shutter CMOS device produces 2448 × 2048 Mono 8 at 24.4 fps with 73.9 dB dynamic range. High full well capacity and high sensitivity each have their own exposure and gain limits, while Gigabit Ethernet and PoE serve the network connection.

Grayscale gauging can use high full well capacity from 45 µs to 10 sec and up to 12.8 dB gain, or high sensitivity from 5 µs to 10 sec and up to 24 dB. This supports edge and position inspection under different illumination levels. The global shutter, isolated trigger input and isolated output allow capture and lighting to be synchronized with moving parts.

MV-CS050-60GM V2.0 records the same 2448 × 2048 Stacked BSI mono image at 23 fps, uses 2.3 W typically at 12 VDC and has a single 5 µs to 10 sec exposure range. MV-CS050-60GC V5.0 keeps the two modes and 24.4 fps but outputs Bayer GR 8 color. MV-CS050-60UM V5.0 carries the V5.0 mono configuration over USB 3.0 at 60 fps.

Selection and applications

Dual-mode mono dimensional inspection. Grayscale checks under changing light. Synchronized networked edge capture.

Minimum kit: Use the MV-CS050-60GM V5.0 camera, a C-mount lens for the 2/3-inch imager, a Gigabit Ethernet cable, and PoE or a 9 VDC to 24 VDC source.

Nearby in the range: MV-CS050-60GM V2.0 — Choose it for 23 fps mono acquisition with exposure from 5 µs to 10 sec; MV-CS050-60GC V5.0 — Choose it for Bayer GR 8 color with the same two sensor modes and 24.4 fps; MV-CS050-60UM V5.0 — Choose it for dual-mode 2448 × 2048 Mono 8 output at 60 fps over USB 3.0.

FAQ

What operating choices does MV-CS050-60GM V5.0 give the sensor?

The Stacked BSI sensor provides high full well capacity and high sensitivity modes. Both produce 2448 × 2048 Mono 8 through a global shutter, with a maximum full-frame rate of 24.4 fps.

What are the gain and exposure limits of MV-CS050-60GM V5.0?

High full well capacity uses 45 µs to 10 sec exposure and 0 dB to 12.8 dB gain. High sensitivity uses 5 µs to 10 sec and 0 dB to 24 dB. The stated dynamic range is 73.9 dB.

How can MV-CS050-60GM V5.0 receive electrical power?

It supports PoE through the Gigabit Ethernet installation and also accepts 9 VDC to 24 VDC. Typical consumption is 1.4 W at 12 VDC, while the network interface supports 1000 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s.

Which physical limits guide placement of MV-CS050-60GM V5.0?

The 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm body weighs about 100 g and carries a C-mount. Operation is specified from –30 °C to 60 °C, with IP40 protection after correct lens installation and wiring.

When does MV-CS050-60UM V5.0 replace the GigE connection?

Choose MV-CS050-60UM V5.0 when the same 2448 × 2048 Mono 8 task needs 60 fps and USB 3.0. MV-CS050-60GM V5.0 instead provides 24.4 fps through Gigabit Ethernet and supports PoE.
