Integrated optics and deployment

An integrated 16 mm liquid lens and white light turn the 3.2 MP imaging core into the defining feature of MV-CT2MG0032/G/16LC/WN. The monochrome Stacked BSI CMOS sensor records 2048 × 1536 with a global shutter and reaches 77.5 fps in Mono 8 with lossless compression. A 1/1.8 in sensor with 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels sits behind the C-mount liquid-lens assembly, while Gigabit Ethernet transports the images.

The combined optical head supports inspection stations that require onboard white illumination rather than a separately mounted light. Its source is rated at approximately 7.7 W, with a 6000 K to 9000 K color temperature and a 90° irradiation angle. Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled exposure suit synchronized acquisition, and the assembled 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm unit carries IP67 protection when the lens, cap and cable are installed correctly.

MV-CT2MG0032/G provides the same 2048 × 1536 and 77.5 fps capture in a 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm body for a separately selected C-mount lens. MV-CT2MG0050/G/16LC/WN keeps the integrated 16 mm optics and light but increases sampling to 2448 × 2048 at 59.2 fps. MV-CT2MG0120/G/16LC/WN reaches 4096 × 3000 at 23.9 fps when substantially more detail is needed.

Selection and applications

Illuminated 3.2 MP inspection. Globally exposed moving-part capture. Integrated 16 mm optical stations.

Minimum kit: MV-CT2MG0032/G/16LC/WN with its 16 mm C-mount liquid lens, an 8-pin M12 X-Code Gigabit Ethernet cable, and PoE or a 9–24 V DC source.

Nearby in the range: MV-CT2MG0032/G — Choose the 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm body when separate C-mount optics are needed; MV-CT2MG0050/G/16LC/WN — Choose 2448 × 2048 capture with the same 16 mm liquid-lens concept; MV-CT2MG0120/G/16LC/WN — Choose 4096 × 3000 output when 23.9 fps is sufficient.

FAQ

What lens is incorporated in MV-CT2MG0032/G/16LC/WN?

The assembly incorporates a 16 mm liquid lens on a C-mount. Its overall lens designation is Liquid lens/16mm, and the body plus optical assembly measures 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm. This version is therefore selected as an integrated optical configuration rather than paired with the separately listed lenses for the standard model.

What are the output characteristics of the integrated white light?

The built-in source is white light with a color temperature from 6000 K to 9000 K. Its irradiation angle is 90° to the horizontal direction and its power is approximately 7.7 W. These values describe the illumination supplied by the /16LC/WN optical assembly.

How is the /16LC/WN camera powered and connected for data?

Image data uses 1 Gbit/s Gigabit Ethernet through an 8-pin M12 X-Code connector. The camera accepts PoE or a 9 V DC to 24 V DC input. Typical camera consumption is 1.6 W at 24 V DC under the stated condition; the integrated light is listed separately at approximately 7.7 W.

Which temperature limit governs the complete optical assembly?

The camera body is rated from –30 °C to 60 °C, but the lens-cap assembly has a working range of 0 °C to 40 °C. For the integrated configuration, the narrower 0 °C to 40 °C range governs operation of the complete assembly. Storage for both is stated up to 80 °C.

What changes relative to the standard MV-CT2MG0032/G body?

Resolution, global shutter and the 77.5 fps maximum remain the same. The standard camera is a 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm C-mount body, while /16LC/WN adds the 16 mm liquid lens, white light and lens cap, producing a 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm integrated assembly.
