Hikrobot MV-GX1102

Compact host-link CXP-6 role

Two CXP-6 inputs on a PCI-E gen3 × 4 card define the MV-GX1102 acquisition path. The DIN 1.0/2.3 links accept 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5 and 6.25 Gbit/s, with 2 GB DDR4-RAM buffering image traffic. Host transfer is rated at 3400 MB/s maximum and 3350 MB/s sustained, and the supported data formats span Mono and Bayer 8/10/12/16 plus RGB 8.

This two-port arrangement fits a paired-view machine where both cameras feed a single gen3 host slot and external timing reaches the board through configurable I/O. Eleven lines operate as single-ended or differential inputs/outputs; lines 0 through 6 are on the bracket and lines 7 through 10 on the PCB, all spanning 3.3 V DC to 24 V DC. Each coaxial channel can deliver up to 13 W at 24 V DC with PoCXP.

MV-GX1102 matches MV-GX1002 at two cameras and 3350 MB/s sustained transfer, but changes DDR3 to DDR4, PCI-E gen2 × 8 to gen3 × 4, and lowers typical consumption without PoCXP from 13.7 W to 8.8 W. MV-GX1104 doubles the port count and memory to four and 4 GB while retaining the same host bandwidth. MV-GY1002 V2.0 is preferable when the camera side requires CXP-12 and HD-BNC instead of CXP-6 and DIN 1.0/2.3.

Selection and applications

Paired CXP-6 camera capture. DDR4-buffered image transfer. Differentially triggered acquisition.

Minimum kit: Install MV-GX1102 in a PCI-E gen3 × 4 host, attach as many as two CXP-6 cameras through DIN 1.0/2.3 coaxial cables, and keep PoCXP draw within 13 W at 24 V DC on each port.

Nearby in the range: MV-GX1104 — Prefer it when four CXP-6 camera ports and 4 GB DDR4 are required; MV-GX1002 — Prefer it for two ports when the host provides PCI-E gen2 × 8; MV-GY1002 V2.0 — Prefer it for CXP-12 cameras connected through HD-BNC.

FAQ

Which host slot and bandwidth does MV-GX1102 require?

The card uses a PCI-E gen3 × 4 interconnect. Its transfer figures are 3400 MB/s maximum and 3350 MB/s sustained, supported by 2 GB of on-board DDR4-RAM between the CXP inputs and host memory.

What CXP-6 rates are selectable on the MV-GX1102 ports?

Both DIN 1.0/2.3 camera connections support 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5 and 6.25 Gbit/s. Up to two cameras can be attached, with each port operating inside the listed CXP-6 rate set.

How is trigger I/O exposed by the MV-GX1102 board?

Eleven configurable lines support single-ended or differential input/output. Lines 0 through 6 are located on the bracket and lines 7 through 10 on the PCB; both groups cover a 3.3 V DC to 24 V DC operating range.

Can MV-GX1102 power cameras through the coaxial cable?

Yes. PoCXP can provide up to 13 W at 24 V DC on each of the two channels. Camera demand must remain inside that per-channel allowance. Typical frame-grabber consumption is 8.8 W when PoCXP load is excluded.

Which Linux releases are included for MV-GX1102 hosting?

The operating-system list covers Ubuntu 18.04 through 24.04 on 64-bit Linux, alongside Windows 7, 10 and 11. MVS client software and an SDK for secondary development complete the stated host software support.

What changes when moving from MV-GX1102 to MV-GX1104?

MV-GX1104 increases the camera interfaces from two to four and the DDR4 buffer from 2 GB to 4 GB. Both boards use PCI-E gen3 × 4, sustain 3350 MB/s and support the same CXP-6 link-rate set.
