Two-link CXP-6 acquisition
Two CXP-6 inputs and a 2 GB DDR3 image buffer make MV-GX1002 a coaxial acquisition board for one- or two-camera systems. Each DIN 1.0/2.3 connection supports 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5 and 6.25 Gbit/s rates. The PCI-E gen2 × 8 host interface delivers up to 3900 MB/s and sustains 3350 MB/s while accepting Mono or Bayer data at 8, 10, 12 and 16 bits, plus RGB 8.
The board suits paired-camera inspection where two high-rate streams must be buffered and tied to deterministic machine signals. Its I/O resources include opto-isolated, RX422, TX422 and TTL groups, as well as eleven configurable lines for single-ended or differential use. PoCXP supplies up to 13 W at 24 V DC on each camera channel, allowing data, control and eligible camera power to share the coaxial connection.
Choose MV-GX1002 for two CXP-6 cameras and a gen2 × 8 host slot. MV-GX1004 keeps the same 3350 MB/s sustained bandwidth but expands to four DIN ports and 4 GB DDR3 memory. MV-GX1102 also has two CXP-6 ports, yet moves to DDR4 and PCI-E gen3 × 4, with a lower 8.8 W typical board load instead of 13.7 W without PoCXP. MV-GY1002 V2.0 is the two-port step to CXP-12 and HD-BNC.

Selection and applications
Dual CXP-6 stream capture. High-depth coaxial image acquisition. Machine-synchronized camera input.
Minimum kit: Use MV-GX1002 in a PCI-E gen2 × 8 host with up to two CXP-6 cameras, DIN 1.0/2.3 coaxial cables, and PoCXP power within 13 W at 24 V DC per channel.
Nearby in the range: MV-GX1004 — Prefer it for four CXP-6 inputs and a 4 GB DDR3 buffer; MV-GX1102 — Prefer it for two CXP-6 ports with DDR4 memory and PCI-E gen3 × 4; MV-GY1002 V2.0 — Prefer it when two CXP-12 HD-BNC connections are needed.
FAQ
Which CXP link rates can each MV-GX1002 input accept?
Each of the two DIN 1.0/2.3 camera inputs supports 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5 and 6.25 Gbit/s operation under CXP-6. The selected camera and coaxial connection should use one of these stated link rates.
What host throughput and buffer size does MV-GX1002 offer?
MV-GX1002 connects through PCI-E gen2 × 8, with 3900 MB/s maximum and 3350 MB/s sustained transfer bandwidth. A 2 GB DDR3-RAM on-board buffer sits between the two camera links and the host transfer path.
Can MV-GX1002 supply power over the CoaXPress links?
PoCXP is provided on each channel at up to 13 W and 24 V DC. This supports camera power over the same coaxial route as data when the camera fits the per-channel limit; typical board consumption is 13.7 W without PoCXP load.
Which signal types are available for MV-GX1002 triggering?
The board provides opto-isolated input and output, RX422 input, TX422 output, and TTL input and output groups. It also has eleven configurable single-ended or differential lines, with bracket I/O from 3.3 V DC to 24 V DC and PCB I/O from 3.3 V DC to 12 V DC.
How does MV-GX1002 handle monochrome and colour data?
It accepts Mono 8/10/12/16, Bayer 8/10/12/16 and RGB 8 pixel formats. The same acquisition board can therefore handle higher-depth grayscale or raw Bayer streams as well as 8-bit RGB output.
Which operating systems can host an MV-GX1002 board?
The stated environments are Windows 7, 10 and 11, together with Ubuntu 16.04 through 20.04 on Linux. MVS and an SDK for secondary development are listed for acquisition setup and application integration.
