CXP-12 bandwidth and fit
Two HD-BNC inputs operating through CXP-12 give MV-GY1002 V2.0 a high-rate dual-camera acquisition profile. Each connection supports 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5, 6.25, 10 and 12.5 Gbit/s. The board combines 4 GB DDR4-RAM with PCI-E gen3 × 8 transfer of 7800 MB/s maximum and 6700 MB/s sustained, accepting Mono through 16 bits, Bayer through 12 bits and RGB 8.
The two-link format fits paired high-data-rate views that must enter one host with a common control path. Eleven configurable lines support single-ended or differential operation, and both bracket and PCB groups span 3.3 V to 24 V input/output. PoCXP can furnish up to 13 W at 24 V DC on each HD-BNC channel, allowing an eligible camera to receive power over its acquisition cable.
MV-GY1002 V2.0 shares the 6700 MB/s host path and CXP-12 speed range with MV-GY1004 V2.0, but uses two interfaces rather than four and consumes 15.7 W typical instead of 16.8 W without PoCXP. MV-GX1102 is the two-port CXP-6 choice: it stops at 6.25 Gbit/s and 3350 MB/s sustained bandwidth but uses PCI-E gen3 × 4. Select the GY board when the camera link requires CXP-12 or HD-BNC.

Selection and applications
Dual CXP-12 image capture. High-rate monochrome acquisition. Synchronized HD-BNC camera input.
Minimum kit: Seat MV-GY1002 V2.0 in a PCI-E gen3 × 8 host, add one or two CXP-12 cameras with HD-BNC coaxial cables, and use PoCXP within 13 W at 24 V DC per connected channel.
Nearby in the range: MV-GY1004 V2.0 — Prefer it when the system needs as many as four CXP-12 camera links; MV-GX1102 — Prefer it for two CXP-6 DIN inputs and PCI-E gen3 × 4; MV-GX1002 — Prefer it for a dual-port CXP-6 installation on PCI-E gen2 × 8.
FAQ
Which CXP-12 rates are supported by MV-GY1002 V2.0?
Both HD-BNC camera connections can operate at 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5, 6.25, 10 or 12.5 Gbit/s. The board supports one or two cameras, so each attached link can be set within that stated CXP-12 rate range.
What host bandwidth does the MV-GY1002 V2.0 board sustain?
The PCI-E gen3 × 8 connection is rated at 7800 MB/s maximum and 6700 MB/s sustained transmission bandwidth. A 4 GB DDR4-RAM buffer provides on-board staging for the one or two incoming CXP-12 streams.
Does MV-GY1002 V2.0 provide camera power through HD-BNC?
PoCXP is listed at up to 13 W and 24 V DC for each channel. A camera within this per-channel rating can receive power along its coaxial data connection. Typical board consumption without PoCXP is 15.7 W.
What monochrome and Bayer bit depths can MV-GY1002 V2.0 acquire?
The format list covers Mono 8/10/12/16, Bayer 8/10/12 and RGB 8. Monochrome acquisition retains a 16-bit option, while raw Bayer acquisition is listed through 12 bits and RGB uses 8-bit components.
How is external control I/O divided on MV-GY1002 V2.0?
Eleven lines are configurable for single-ended or differential input/output. Lines 0 through 6 are exposed on the bracket and lines 7 through 10 on the PCB; both groups support signals from 3.3 V to 24 V.
How does MV-GY1002 V2.0 differ from MV-GY1004 V2.0?
Both boards use CXP-12, HD-BNC, 4 GB DDR4 and a 6700 MB/s sustained host path. MV-GY1002 V2.0 supports up to two cameras and draws 15.7 W typical without PoCXP; MV-GY1004 V2.0 supports up to four and draws 16.8 W.
