Networked color inspection at 60 fps

A 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet link and Stacked BSI sensor distinguish MV-CH050-60NC within the 5 MP group. The color camera records 2448 × 2048 Bayer GR 8 at 60 fps with a global shutter and 3.45 µm pixels. Its 2/3-inch sensor and C-mount suit networked color-inspection nodes that need more link bandwidth than Gigabit Ethernet.

The global shutter supports checks of moving labels, component colors and printed patterns. Exposure spans 5 µs to 10 sec, allowing short capture for motion or longer integration for static work. Power can travel through PoE or enter at 9 V DC to 24 V DC, and the P7 connector provides isolated trigger input and output plus a bidirectional I/O line.

MV-CH050-60NM keeps the same 60 fps, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and Stacked BSI platform but outputs monochrome data. MV-CH050-60UC provides color at 79 fps over USB 3.0. MV-CH050-10UC V4.0 uses Sony IMX250 and reaches 74.1 fps through USB 3.0. Pick MV-CH050-60NC when color, PoE and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet topology belong together.

Selection and applications

Networked color checks of moving labels. PoE inspection nodes for colored components. Triggered print-pattern verification.

Minimum kit: MV-CH050-60NC, a 2/3-inch C-mount lens, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet cable, and either PoE or a 9 V DC to 24 V DC supply form the minimum imaging set.

Nearby in the range: MV-CH050-60NM — Prefer it when the same 60 fps network platform should output monochrome images; MV-CH050-60UC — Prefer it for 79 fps color acquisition through USB 3.0; MV-CH050-10UC V4.0 — Prefer it for an IMX250 color sensor and 74.1 fps through USB 3.0.

FAQ

What network bandwidth is specified for MV-CH050-60NC?

The interface supports 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet at 2500 Mbit/s and is compatible with Gigabit Ethernet at 1000 Mbit/s. The full listed camera output is 60 fps at 2448 × 2048 in Bayer GR 8.

Can power and image data share the Ethernet cable?

Yes, PoE is supported, so the network connection can carry power as well as data when paired with a suitable PoE source. The alternative is a separate 9 V DC to 24 V DC supply; typical draw is 3.7 W at 12 V DC.

Which lens mount and image-circle size does this model use?

MV-CH050-60NC uses a C-mount and a 2/3-inch sensor. The lens should cover that format and resolve the 3.45 µm pixel pitch across the 2448 × 2048 color image.

How does the shutter support color checks on moving material?

The CMOS sensor uses a global shutter, exposing the image simultaneously rather than row by row. With exposure starting at 5 µs and output up to 60 fps, moving colored features can be captured with controlled geometric distortion.

What installation limits follow from the enclosure rating?

The camera is rated IP40 with the lens and wiring correctly installed. Its working range is -10 °C to 45 °C at 20% to 95% RH without condensation, which defines the conditions the mounting location must maintain.
